Ultra Thread. "The World’s best tying thread".

Wapsi have gone to great lengths to come up with the best tying thread available. Ties flat, lightly waxed, slow building. On a spool with a thread retainer built it (side washer). Boxed so that delivered package acts as a dispenser. Can be hung on a pegboard. Sizes are 70 denier and 140 denier, which match Danvilles 6/0 and Unithread 6/0 respectively (Denier is an accurate measurement of thread as used by the thread industry, the 6/0 size etc. is an inaccurate system and actually means nothing). Thread has a small amount of stretch in it, same as Danvilles (and lacking in Uni thread) to make fly tying a pleasure not a pain. Sold in boxes of 12 spools, 100yds/spool. I have used this thread and it is the Bees Knees.

Flat Waxed Nylon

Really heavy thread for hair work, ties flat & strong, covers quickly. Wapsi did a lab test on threads and the tested breaking strain for this thread was 67oz!
